Ariel Model JGQ-2, & JGJ-2 Double Acting Reciprocating Type Two Stage Air Cooled Booster Compressor, with your choice of Caterpillar or Detroit Diesel Electronic Engine, Oil Field Skid Mounted. Unit is Air-Cooled with a Air to Air heat exchanger for the Pre-Cooler, Inter-Cooler, Aftercooler, Charge Air for Engine, and Air to Fluid heat exchanger for Engine Jacket Water.

  5. Compressor brake horsepower with cooling fans- 200-665 bhp

Scope of Supply

  1. Ariel JGQ-2 (3" stroke rated 280 hp) & JGJ-2 (3 ½" stroke rated 620 hp) Lubricated, Two throw, Two Stage, Horizontal opposed configuration, double acting, Air-Cooled, Pressure lubricated, Direct Drive, 1800 rpm input speed.
  2. Caterpillar Electronic Diesel Engine or Detroit Diesel Electronic Diesel Engine, Six Cylinder, rated up to 665 bhp @18000 rpm heavy duty air filter with safety element, and heavy duty industrial muffler, 24 volt starter and alternator, flywheel mounted style woods flexible coupling, with remote throttle control in panel.
  3. Four runner A-36 wide flange oil field skid with 6" lifting pipes both ends.
      a) containment skids available as an option
      b) offshore and helicopter lifting racks available as an option
  4. ACEC designed and fabricated weather tight, Control Panel Stainless Steel construction, vibration isolated, with Detroit Diesel Electronic Display Module in front panel to provide instant readout of all engine temperatures and pressures, percent of load, fuel used and active and non active engine diagnostic codes, analog style gauges for all booster compressor temperatures and pressures, digital no flow timer safety shutdown on Ariel Booster Lubricator with High temp shutdowns on discharge both stages.
  5. Air Cooled tube and fin type heat exchanger with engine driven fan for engine jacket water, charge air cooler for engine turbo circuit, Separate Tube and Fin Cooler for compressor Pre-Cooler, inter -cooler, and compressor after-cooler, ASME Coded and stamped.
  6. Vertical Style ASME Coded Vertical Suction Moisture scrubber with internal stainless steel demister with manual drain valves for each stage.
  7. 3" schedule 80 piping from L.P. suction through to the final discharge of aftercooler, Booster Manifold with bypass valves and blowdowns plumbed on back of skid. Also valving for running in either two stage or single stage.
  8. Painted with primer coat and polyurethane topcoat customer color choice.
  9. Two sets of Manufactures operation, maintenance, parts and recommended manual supplied with unit for each component, extra copies available on request.
